Mini sleeping capsules are open for business in Xi’an Xianyang International Airport in China’s northwest Shaanxi province, providing convenience for sleepy passengers. Sleepy travelers can have a rest in the sleeping boxes or Mini hotel at the Terminal 3 in Xi’an airport.
There are 20 sleeping boxes in Terminal 3 of the Xi’an Xianyang International Airport. Each room/sleeping box covers an area of three square meters and is 2.7 meters high, equipped with digital TV, laptop desk and a socket. It also has wireless Internet access. The mini hotel room in Xi’an Airport is decorated like small wooden houses providing guests with a natural and comfortable feeling.
Use of the box costs 30 Chinese Yuan ($4.70) for less than 30 minutes, 60 Yuan an hour for the first two hours, and 40 Yuan an hour from the third hour.
“I think the price is somewhat expensive, but it is a good place to sleep with good sound insulation and ventilation,” one of the customers staying in the sleeping box said.
