Guangzhou is a big city in southeast of China. It is a historic city in China. The history of 2,200 years has left behind many places of historic interest and scenic beauty. Being the capital of Guangdong Province, Guangzhou is also the political, economic, transportation hub, educational and cultural centers of Southern China. Guangdong has 21 cities in total, Guangzhou city is in the south center of the province. It has very convenient transportation, airlines, railway stations, rapid high ways, ferry and ocean shipping. Guangzhou is a coastal city which is close to the China South Sea and situated in the mouth of the Pearl River Delta. Pearl River is the biggest river of Guangzhou, the highest mountain Guangzhou is Baiyun mountain also known as White Cloud Hill.

Guangzhou adjoins Hong Kong and Macao, it is the southern gateway to the outside world. Guangzhou covers an area of 7,434 square kilometers, it is the third largest city in China, behind Beijing and Shanghai. Guangzhou owns a population of about 12 million. While China has 14 cities that have a population of more than 10 million.

Guangzhou has direct jurisdiction over ten districts and two county-level cities. The ten districts include: Yuexiu, Liwan, Haizhu, Tianhe, Baiyun, Huangpu, Huadu, Panyu, Nansha, Luogang, while the two county-level cities are Zengcheng and Conghua.

Guangzhou has brilliant history, the famous attractions like Sun Yat-sen’s Memorial Hall, Huangpu Military Academy, Huanghuagang Park and Guangzhou Peasant Movement Institute, etc.

Guangzhou is one of the best places for eating in China. The Chinese saying “Born in Suzhou, eat in Guangzhou and die in Liuzhou” is a fitting way to describe the wealth of great food available here. (Apparently if you are born in Suzhou you have a beautiful mother, and if you die in Liuzhou you will be buried in the finest coffins!) Eating is certainly the main pleasure for the local residents of Guangzhou and there are literally hundreds of good restaurants serving up authentic Cantonese cuisine.

Guangzhou holds the famous and world’s biggest trade fair every year – China Import and Export Fair, commonly known as Canton Fair, was founded in the spring of 1957, held in Guangzhou in spring and autumn every year, so far, more than 50 years of history, is currently the longest history, the highest level, the largest and most complete varieties , visiting traders largest turnover best comprehensive international trade event.
