A monther-in-law suspected the daughter-in-law of stealing and banished her from home. The young women went to complain to the old neighbour.
The old neighbour said,
“I shall get your month-in-law to call you back, stay here.”
The old lady then left carring a bundle of straw with her. When she met the monther-in-law, the old neighbour said,
“My dogs are fighting severely for some meat, I want to light a fire to stop them now.”
Having hearding of this, the monther-in-law sent her grandson to recall her daughter-in-law immediately.

Faint from hunger

A pampered son from a wealthy family saw some poor man fell to the ground. Some passer-by told him that the poor man fainted from hunger, the poor man did not have his meal for long. The pampered son was surprised and said,
“Since he did not have meal, why didn’t he drink a cup of ginseng soup instead. It will prevent him from hunger for long time.”
