Agents Not Being Honest Shenzhen

I was looking for a new apartment in Shenzhen. The current apartment is a bit small. I firstly searched online, and find some of the housing agents have good price advertised on websites, but when I contact the agent for the details, they said the prices on the websites is not real, they are advertised lower then the actual price in the market. They claimed that they were doing this because they want to get your calls, they meant to know their clients’ inquiries and needs so they are able to help.

Also this seems to be the ‘normal’ with different real estate agents and companies in the current market as I tried on several different agents from different companies, they all said the prices online is advertise lower just for more phone call and contacts from their potential customers.

Isn’t it dishonest? I asked myself.

It is not easy to hunt a good apartment in Shenzhen. We walked to different blocks and streets. Almost all real estate agents have advertising board on their doors, you can find the basic description of the houses, like the name of the building, size, prices, on sale or rental, and so on. Unfortunately when you ask them about the apartments listed on the ads board, they will tell you the prices are old and the advertised apartments are no longer available, they just have not updated the information.

Is this normal in your city or country except Shenzhen or China? Do you think the real estate agents being dishonest? Do you think it could be a deal breaker?

Panasonic and Philip are the top 2 shaver brands in most electronic stores in Shenzhen as I can see. They do not have any serious competitors in China. The Chinese brand FLYCO shavers can only find in few small electronic shops, targeting at low end consumers for its lower price.

I had been a Panasonic user for more than 6 years. However I moved on to Philip recently. The quality of Panasonic shaver is very good. However the reason to move from Panasonic to Philip is because of the lack of support when I use Panasonic. As of now, for Panasonic, there is only one after sale service center in Shenzhen. My shaver went down couple of days ago,  so I  contacted the Panasonic customer support in Shenzhen on the phone. The support became impatient and asked me to go to their aftersale service center in Luohu Shenzhen before I try to explain the issue of my Panasonic shaver although I explicitly told them that I am very far away from their service center in Luohu.

I went to Suning, one of the biggest electronics chain stores in China, but they do not provide the maintenance service to Panasonic shavers. Considering that even if I take the broken shaver to Panasonic Luohu, they might have discontinued the support to my shaver model, so I bought a new one in Suning, Philip brand of course this time. Philip has 14 aftersale service centers in Shenzhen as of now and I have confirmed with the sales in Suning that there is one nearby my place.

We have been talking quite a lot about Liang Qichao, who had dedicated all his life to the reformation of the old China and thus be memorized by the whole people. His great contribution and brilliant intellegence attracted me and led me to his former residence in Chakeng Village, Xinhui District, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province.

There in the General Bus Station of the Jiangmen city, you can take the Bus Line 103 to the destination of this trip, that is, Liang Qichao’s former residence. This bus line is amazing. There are lots of  scenic spots along its rout, such as Chen Baisha Memorial Hall, Gui Feng Mountain, Birds Paradise etc.

In about 5o minutes, the bus finally stopped at the terminal Staiton, LiangQichao’s former residence and his memorial hall. His former residence located in Chakeng Village.  Walking in the quiet and clean road of the village, you can feel its silence and loneliness. There were not many people can be found on the road.

Along the roadside, there was a guideboard telling you the way to the Memorial Hall as well as the Xiongzi Tower in the village. Both pots were not difficult to find at all.  Follow this road and stopped at the park , walk along the pond and then you will see the front door of the Memorial Hall.

Here you are, right here in the Memorial Hall. You need to buy a ticket to visit inside. Don’t worry, it would cost you only 10yuan. This scenery spot is composed by three parts, the Memorial Hall, the Former Residence and the Square with Liang’s statue.

It is known that Liang had three former residence in China, one is in Beijing, one in Tianjin, and one in Guangdong. This spot locates in Guangdong and was the place where Liang grew up and studied the Chinese traditional culture.

His former residence is about 400 square meters and is combined by one official sitting room, one casual sitting room, one dining room, two bedrooms, one parvis in front of each sitting room.

His Memorial Hall was constructed in 2001 and is about 1600 square meters. It has two floors and one huge fish pool in front of the building. Inside the memorial hall, it shows all kinds of pictures and books about Liang telling his admiring career and contribution.

His statue is placed in the center of the courtyard, opposing the mountain and facing the road in front of the yard.

Visitors seemed to be quite rare. The whole spot is quietly standing there, living harmoniously with the quite village. Do not break the silence of history. Do not bother them if you like it.
